Apple Fried Rice

Ingredients :

  • 6 oz. Shrimp - peeled, veined, and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 pinch salt and floor black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, or more as wished
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 egg, crushed
  • 1 cup diced button mushrooms
  • three/4 cup frozen combined veggies
  • 1 apple - peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 2 cups overnight steamed white rice
  • 1 green onion, diced

Instructions :

Prep : 30M Cook : 4M Ready in : 55M
  • Mix shrimp, salt, and pepper collectively in a bowl; stir in cornstarch.
  • Heat oil in a wok over medium heat; add shrimp aggregate. Cook till light brown, approximately 5 mins. Transfer to a plate.
  • Stir garlic into the wok; cook till fragrant, about 1 minute. Add egg; prepare dinner and stir till scrambled, about three minutes. Mix in mushrooms; cook dinner and stir till softened, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Stir combined veggies into the wok; cook till softened, three to 5 mins. Mix in apple and raisins; upload curry powder. Cook and stir until aromatic, approximately three minutes.
  • Mix rice into the wok; season with soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir until rice is heated thru, 3 to five mins. Add shrimp and inexperienced onion; prepare dinner and stir till warmed thru, 2 to 4 mins.

Notes :

  • Shrimp can be substituted with processed meats (along with wieners, luncheon meat, or ham), leftover diced turkey, or 1/4 pound ground pork or chicken.
  • If substituting shrimp with ground pork or fowl, season with 1/4 teaspoon every salt and pepper and 1 teaspoon each cornstarch and sesame oil.
